Hello, hello!

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve showed up here and blogged - a year to be exact! I’ve missed it and I’ve missed sharing with all of you!

This past year, I was focused on a growing and raising my tiny little human, Theo. The transition into motherhood is such a beautiful experience, that I wanted to be fully present and not have any distractions. Now that I found my new normal, it was time to re-evaluate where I stood with wedding photography and interior design.

I made the the thoughtful decision to photograph my last wedding in August, it wasn’t serving me how it once use to. When I started my photography business 7 years ago, my heart was exploding. As the years passed, priorities shifted and my heart changed. I’m so grateful for my clients who believed in me and my work and the amazing experiences I’ve had. But it was time to shut one door, and open another.

I am excited to announce that I am launching my new business, Dedra Weigman Interior Design! (Cue the champs and confetti). New website, new blog, new everything!

My love for interior design began when my husband Andy and I bought a fixer upper in the cutest little neighborhood. We tore it down to the studs and renovated it from top to bottom. It was a labor of love, sweat and a lot of tears - mostly Andy's sweat and my tears.

We managed the whole renovation [with the love and support of our families] by ourselves. Andy was the VP of project management, I was the CEO of design. Together, we turned our 1950's house into a modern haven.

Now here I am, continuing this journey to becoming a girl boss entrepreneur, serving the world with creativity, design and style.

In the coming week, I will be sharing more on the blog about the services I am offering, how they differ and what may be a good fit for you if you’re looking for design assistance in your home or in a particular space. For a little peak into each design offering, click here.

In the meantime, join my newsletter to be the first to know about recent interior design projects, home styling tips, inspiration and much much more!

I also invite you to connect with me over on IG (@dedraweigman).

Thank you for following along with me on this journey. It’s time that I embark in a more focused space. What I’ve learned is that it’s ok to change and shift directions if something isn’t serving you in the way it once did. I remember when I was a little girl, I use to arrange and rearrange my room multiple times. I even drew out floor plans in my spare time (Yes, at 10 years old). Sometimes finding your purpose takes going down a different path only to come back full circle. It’s also picking up those clues the universe is throwing at you. At the end of the day, you do you. Whatever your heart is telling you, go for it.

I look forward to serving up good stuff for you on all things home, lifestyle and everything in between!
